imageElon Musk has urged users of the microblogging site X (formerly Twitter ) to update their X app immediately. The company’s owner noted that users will see a major change in their feeds after updating the app.Musk announced that the Following timeline on X is now ranked by Grok, the AI chatbot developed by Musk’s AI company, xAI.In a post on X, Musk announced the integration, stating that Grok’s ranking system will now order the posts from people they follow. He clarified that users will still be able to switch back to the traditional, unfiltered chronological feed if they choose not to use the new AI-ranked timeline. In his X post, Musk wrote: “Update your 𝕏 app and look at your Following timeline.Posts of people you follow are now ranked by @Grok! You can still access unfiltered chronological if you want.” This comes after Musk announced major accuracy changes for the latest Grok 4.1 version and even asked X users to help fix the chatbot.Elon Musk asks X users for help fixing Grok

Last week, Musk asked X users to help improve Grok by sharing current examples of times when the chatbot provided “absurdly positive” responses about him.

He said this crowdsourced feedback would help make the system “perfect.” His request came as Grok 4.1 rolled out, an update that gave the model more compute time for reasoning to increase accuracy and avoid recent issues. In a post on X from last week, Musk wrote: “Please provide examples where @Grok needs to improve in replies.Showing how another AI does it better would be helpful. These examples should be of Grok going wrong today, as we fixed many bugs from earlier in the week.” Musk later added, “We will not rest until Grok is perfect,” and also said that examples of strong replies were practical: “Examples where Grok provides great responses that it should do more of are helpful too.” He said his team had already applied updates to make Grok more accurate.“Many updates and fixes have been applied to Grok 4.1 and many more to come! Going forward, Grok 4.1 will spend more compute time thinking about your question to improve accuracy.” He also commented on a post that showed users how to report problems with Grok. The original post explained: “If you like a reply, tap the thumbs up icon.If something needs improvement, tap the three dots icon and report the issue.” “Critical feedback about Grok is super helpful. We will keep iterating until Grok is the best in every way,” Musk replied.

The accuracy push followed several unusual Grok responses that overly praised Musk. The chatbot claimed he was fitter than LeBron James, called him the “fittest man alive,” and even said he could beat Mike Tyson in a boxing match.Musk rejected the praise, writing: “Earlier today, Grok was unfortunately manipulated by adversarial prompting into saying absurdly positive things about me,” and added, “For the record, I am a fat retard.” Grok, which Musk had promoted as an “anti-woke” and “maximally truth-seeking” AI, had also faced criticism for biased replies involving antisemitic themes and other harmful claims.
