Raise hand and emoji reaction comes to WhatsApp calls In a bid to make conversations more orderly, WhatsApp has added two interactive tools for group calls. The “raise hand” function, similar to the one in Google Meet, lets participants indicate they want to speak without cutting in, while reaction emojis give a way to respond instantly without disrupting the flow of discussion.

Call link creators will also see improved controls—they will now get notified when someone joins a call using the link, making it easier to track attendance in real time.WhatsApp emphasised that, as with all personal communications on the platform, these calls remain protected by end-to-end encryption, meaning no one outside the conversation can access its content.

The company said it expects the update to make group calls “more fun and productive” for its global user base.Vivo V60 First Look: Better ‘Shaadi Wala’ Phone?
