Meta-owned Instagram has launched a new feature that allows users to rewatch the previously watched reels.The feature is similar to rival TikTok’s Watch History feature.Instagram ’s new feature was announced by Instagram head Adam Mosseri on social media platform, where he said “Have you ever tried to get back to a reel that you’d seen on Instagram and you just can’t find it?”.“Well, there is a new feature that should help.
If you go to ‘Profile’ and under ‘Settings,’ under ‘Your ‘Activity,’ there’s Watch History now, so you can see every reel that you’ve ever watched,” he added.Here’s how to revisit previously watched Reels on Instagram Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your phone.Step 2: Tap your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
Step 3: Tap the three horizontal lines (menu) in the top right.
Step 4: Select Settings from the menu.Step 5: In Settings, tap Your activity.Step 6: Tap Watch history.This page shows Reels you have recently watched.Step 7: Scroll through the list to find the Reel you want to revisit.Tap any item to open that Reel directly.What you can do on the Watch history page • Play a Reel again by tapping it.• Tap the three dots on a Reel to save it, share it, report it or view the account that posted it.
• Use the menu at the top (if available) to filter or search within your activity.
