Thanks for the post Aigar – some good choices.I was not even aware wordpress had employment agency themes and I use wordpress almost exclusively.I am doing a project for a staffing agency and they get job searches filtered to their local office from their home website and they want to have their own website for local searches.I like jobify from what I have seen, but I am not sure they would need functionality to add jobs from their website, but from the back end.

Do you know if jobs can be posted through the dashboard and is the “Add Job” function something that can be hidden from the front page?

That’s a very tricky question. As WordPress is an open source software. Most likely you will be able to hide “Add Job” from the front end.

I love WordPress and have several sites running on it.But, I am very skeptical about WordPress supporting a job portal. It just doesn’t have enough features. To my opinion, for a job board to stand out and make some profit there is a need to offer unique features to both employers and job seekers, like iOS and Android apps, Indeed, Simply Hired, Beyond plugins (to back fill job board), flexible subscription plans, screening questionnaires, job wrapping (it’s when you can import jobs from almost any existed job site) and much more.

Job board is a serious business that requires a serious platform.WordPress themes for employment is just for kids to play around. But, that’s of course my humble opinion.

I was also unaware that WordPress has employment agency themes. This is a very helpful and concise list.

Thanks Aigars very well done.

Please do you know if with any of these themes it is possible to limit the access to the CVs?

I’m quite sure that in Europe you cannot show a CV on a public portal even with the authorisation; so I’m looking for a theme that permits to have a controlled access to the CVs (user/pswd)

Thanks, Francesco-

Hi Francesco

I came across your comment regarding restricted access to CV database in Europe.

Can you please direct me to the source regarding this rule? I am looking into building a job portal in Europe.Any help would be much appreciated!

Best,

Anna

Nice work Aigars.

Much appreciated.Do any of these sites have the capability for anonymous reviews such as used on Glassdoor? Company reviews is what I’m most interested in… glassdoor.com

Hi Dan,

Granted this is three years later, but did you ever find someone to do the rating system like glassdoor? I am looking to try and do the same thing. Thanks

Hi!

I have an existing site and want to start a job board..cant decide between

Jobera or jobify…but would rather integrate wpjobboard if its better…what is the most customizable choice.Jobify is fine but why does it work without the resume plugins?

Is wpjobboard totally customizable for resume part and job posting part?

Sorry i just want to pick most flexible and scalable one..pay for it..and get started.-

Are there any themes out there that offer a Workroom.I am interested in creating a site that allows users to use the site as a portal where they can exchange emails, files, etc and then get paid for jobs through it.

Think Elance.Any WP Elance themes out there?

hi, can you recommend any good job board plugins? I have an existing website and would like to let people post jobs so that our members can see them. Thanks

Hi Aigars,

Thank for the article.

I’m WordPress developer, Jobengine is my choice for my client. The design is simple, and support are awesome.

I have not yet use Jobify so don’t have comment about it but I am impressed with its design.

Thank again.-

Hi Sterling,

Please let me know if you need any help about Jobengine.

Can you address the issue of populating the board from indeed, monster, careerbuilder, etc? I produce niche directories and would like to populate the job boards with specific jobs and allow job listing submissions in the niche site.

which is the best theme to buy for academic website, such that customers can post while writers can bid on the said jobs.

Aigar,

I’m looking to create a non-profit college career site that has the following functionality

– Students create a private profile providing their backgrounds (school, grades, etc) and resume

– Employers will post jobs but have the potential to screen for certain candidates based on college and GPAWhich theme is best for creating a members-only site that is flexible in terms of profile development for students and allows employers to do targeted candidate searches based on customized criteria?

Thank you

Thank you for this article.I am looking for a theme that will enable me to add a paid membership option for job seekers to be able to view the complete job listing.I like the look of WP Job Board plugin but as far as I can tell the membership options are only for employers to list jobs, not for job seekers to view them.

Something similar to this website: fruitpickingjobs.com.au (not my site).

Are you aware if any of these themes will enable me to do this? I need the easiest option available 🙂

Thanks!

Absolutely love this post.

Wondering if you could suggest the best job search site similar to the layout of care[dot]com. My bottom line is to have options for premium (paid) users and basic users. Also, would like job seekers to post as well as employers to post.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi Aigars,

This is a great resource – thanks! Do you know if any of these themes offer backfill?

I’m trying to find a job portal that will have the functionality for a registered user to be able to see from his dashboard, while entering one of his vacancies which people have already applied for it…

Hi, very useful insight.

I’m looking to create a simple ‘Recruitment website’ with basic ‘apply now’ (no candidate account creation required), no employer account creation.Just a simply recruitment, company promoting their vacancies.

I also need to be able to modify the look and feel and add corporate branding, Im also a complete WP novice but will have to take this on board, which theme would you recommend ? –

Hi Aigars!

Just about to purchase a job theme (jobify, job engine or babysitter) but still need some clarification on the following:

– is it necessary to purchase the core bundle package add-ons with wp job manager (features – applications, apply with linkedin, bookmarks, resume manager, wc paid listings, job alerts, indeed integration, simple paid listings, job tags)? OR

– in addition to one of above themes and wp job manager, is it suffice to just get the add-ons: resume manager (manage cv), restrict content pro (manage subscriptions/ fees), apply with linkedin (option for applicants) and indeed integration?

My bottom line is to not pay more than $250 for the theme and add-ons.In addition to the job theme (TBA) AND wp job manager, should I get core bundle add-on pack (listed above) or just the 4 add-ons – resume manager, restrict content pro, indeed integration and apply with linked in?

Any additional assistance greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Alex –

Ok, thanks for your previous advice

Im wanting to create a ‘Recruitment Website’ rather than a Job Board as I mentioned before, a Local recruitment agency posting job vacancy they receive from clients, with a quick application process, >>> apply, enter basic details, email, attach cover letter, cv etc. With job search by keyword, location etc, possible with a range, eg with 20miles of a specific postcode / zipcode.

My question is this:

1) My Client wants specific bespoke design, could / should I use something like the ‘Total Theme on theme forest or RTH-Theme18’ which seems to allow for easy design creation? (RT Theme allows for you to create bespoke templates, … not sure about the Total theme at the moment)(Hope its ok to put links on here to help provide information)

or

WP Job Board

I am new new WP and would appreciate any comments

Does anyone have any comments on these requirements / approach / themes / themes with these plugin ?

Any assistance much appreciated.

Chris

Hello Aigars,

Thank you for getting together such a cool resource! I have two queries on functions that i want to have on my site.

This is for part-time jobs, promotional jobs in the events industry.

1) Could i have a functionality where i am able to send alerts to subscribers(free) on job alerts close to them? OR that matches their preferences?2) Could i have a mini-work room wherein an employer could email all the interested candidates at one go? within the system itself and fine-tune his selections.

I was looking at this imp aspect from an employer’s perspective.

I love jobify so far, but the above two functionalities would be just awesome!.Would love to hear from you.

Great article.

If anyone is looking to embed a job board to their website we recommend

Does anyone know which one of threes job board themes can accommodate backfilling jobs?

Hi Aigars , Thank you for all the information you’ve provide on this website.

I’m in the earlier stages of building a job’s board website.I’ve researched PHP products, specially the Smart Job Board’s program and have found a Smart Job Board developed website (CareersInGovernment.com) which has similar functionality to the site I envision.

Question: With the specific customization am seeking is there a WordPress product you would recommend? Jobifier? Jobera? Jobify?

Thanks.

Hello Aigars, There is one more theme I heard “Jobifier”….whats your opinion on that.

Hello Aigars,

Nice post! I am looking forward to buy a wordpress theme to build a job website. Here are some of the must have requirements for the job site:1) Front end login/registration

2) Configurable layout architecture

3) Configurable business plans(including free subscription for both job seeker or company)

4) Configurable search options(job, resume or company search based on roles) including job map integration

5) Featured job or company listing(widget is preferred)

6) Integrated payment modules(paypal, credit card and manual-cash or bank )

7) Integrated order management system(manual approval possible) which also includes revenue reports(weekly, monthly or yearly)

8) responsive design(based on twitter bootstrap)

9) new job or resume alters(job agent feature will be nice to have)

10) Advertisement module

11) Integration with analytics toolsCould you please suggest if anyone of the above mentioned(or any other) themes can fulfill the must have requirements?

Thanks in advance

Bob –

Thank you for the research! I am looking for more than just a jobs board, I am looking to build a site that is a career portal- one that has job openings, but also a page to list continuing professional education, a page for initial education and certification, a page with map and average salary, etc..

Do any of the above themes [I like job engine (for look, email functionality and job import abilities) and jobify (for modification flexibility)] provide the capability of expanding the theme to add pages with reference materials and lists or will I need to use a separate theme and add a WP Job Board Plugin?

Thank you.

Jay,

All themes listed above does have job listings, company profiles and some of them even have resume pages but these are additional features built on top of WordPress default functionality.Which means that you can create blog page, portfolio, create unlimited informative pages, install bbPress forum or do other crazy things with your website. It’s WordPress, so everything is possible when it comes to content management.

My favorite themes are ones that uses “WP Job Manager” plugin because you can always install new add-ons when you need theme and there are many new add-ons created every month. That way you can keep developing your website and add more functionality as you grow.

Nine to Five is the best theme for me.

Is not expensive and is very elegant.I love it.

Hi Aigars

This is a great resource, thank you.I’ve been through all the options but would appreciate your view on this as I’m about to brief a developer to build me a website.I’m setting up a recruitment agency and looking for a slick website with a job search function. The job search will allow users to search jobs by location, category, salary and key word. They will be able to apply online. No other functionality is required. Can you advise what’s the best theme to use to achieve this? You mentioned Suburbs in an earlier comment.

My second question is, to what extent are the themes customisable?

Thanks!

Felicity –

Aigars,

I want to thank you for great recourse and I appreciate it.

I am about to start a Job Board website (fully automated) and i do have few requirements for my plan.

1.

Two types of user accounts are enabled for “Job Seeker ” and “Employers” and they can do all their posting and updating account information themselves. All typical account options are available for both user types (i.e – Job Seeker – Application history, and uploaded cv database, managing cvs etc)

2.

Job Seekers can direct apply for jobs from “apply now” button with a choice to upload any type of file ( pdf, doc.jpg.png) and no need to send emails.

3.Employers can search resume, post jobs, look back history, and keep track of candidates in their employer accounts

4.Email notifications are enabled for both job seekers and employers

5.Job seeker and Employers sections are quickly and clearly can be seen.

4.Supports advertising banners around the website and mobile compatible. What would be the best choice for me.? Can you please advise.

? that will be a great help.

Thank you in advance.-

Thank you for this collection – very useful indeed!

Which theme would you recommend for a site similar to ratedpeople.com ? It’s much simpler that all of them so would just using the WP Job Manager plugin be enough (I have some WP theme customization experience). Also, most of the theme are actually using this plugin – does it mean that I have to pay for the theme itself once and for the plugin again?

Thank you for your time,

Chris –

Hello Aigars

This is a great list.

Thank you for putting the time and effort to put it something.I do have some questions though.

Truth is, I’m looking to create my own website and I”m for a very specific type of job-board wordpress theme. The key word here is ACCURACY.Whenever I go to other job board site (Indeed, Monster, Careerbuilder) and I try search for Job restricted only to my home city, there’s always three problems

1) bunch of fake job posting,

2) jobs located outside my home city

3) jobs that should have been listed (I check the other companies’ career website), but weren’tMore specifically, I’m looking to create sort-what of a company listing site powered by wordpress.A site that shows all the companies within a city, even the ones that have currently have no job opening posted, but could be hiring.

I looking to build a site that will include all the small companies that always overlooked or never appear on major job posting sites just because they currently have no job opening, so it’s more of a job-positing/company-listing site.

hello,

I am looking for the theme where the job offer pay an amount of is choice to do the job and the person who get the job receive this amount less a website commission.

it a micro job website.example :

I offer 40$ to clean my pool

I pay 40$ TO THE WEBSITE

the candidate do the job and receive from the website the amount less the commission ( example 35$)do you have advice to find a theme close to this set up?

thank you , the micro job theme does not have the escrow system where we can charge the freelancers before the payment of the job.

in micro job : only the poster is able to be the payer of a flat fee. What do you think about freelanceEngine?

My suggestion is not to go for microjob themes if you are completely looking for only job portal, because microjob themes is entirely into a different segment.i have already made this mistake so plz think twice before u buy a theme

Hi Aigars,

I’m wondering if you may have researched what options are: (1) most likely to be crawled by aggregator job boards like Indeed (so you get the most exposure) I.e., the public job board spiders index your jobs; (2) Also, which ones are most optimized for SEO? Thanks.-

I wonder if customer can create different or they own cv database. In one of this templates.

Really helpful insight and advices.

Just one more tip please.

Interested into some freelancer alike template but I wish not to create an open bidding platform.

For this reason I need to lock (only) the contact data either of the JobRequesters and of the Freelancers.

Moreover I need the website to show just an excerpt of the JobRequests.

Is there any avalaible plugins/scripts in order to?Regards

Which has the easiest customizable fields.I am looking to build a template that would have a lot (at least 20) specific details for both the job posting & the Resumes.

Also are the resume’s kept private unless people are logged in?

Thanks

Thanks for this amazing post and message board! I have found it all very helpful.

A version of this question has been asked before but I am not quite sure I understand the answer.

I am trying to build a job board for a local niche market that would connect employers with temporary or casual employees/freelancers to do small on-the-spot (not online) jobs. Most of the themes mentioned above seem quite compatible with this idea but the catch is I want to be able to charge the employer a reoccurring subscription fee to access the site and post jobs but I ALSO want the employer to be able to “rate” the employee after the job is complete and for those “ratings” to be attached to the employees info page for other potentially employers to see (in the exact same way a buyer on ebay or amazon or whatever can see “ratings” on sellers).I am leaning toward jobify but it is not clear to me that a plugin exists or could be developed that could add this element to my job board service (which is absolutely key…the nature of the local market I am seeking to address with this site will absolutely rely on previous positive reviews of temporary employees).

I hope that made sense.

Thanks!

Hi Aigars,

Thank you for this useful post.

I am a french entrepreneur and i would like to build a resume board where people can have a wonderful single page resume with a unique web address.

like : mywebsite/John-doe.com

I had a Jobify theme with all of payed extension : resume manager, job manager etc… but Jobify doesn’t show correctly the resume page (it is not enough beautiful).I prefer WPJobus for the styled resume page.

I am afraid that the extensions are not compatible with Wpjobus.

Should I stay on Jobify and change the style sheet or can I start with WPJobus with all jobify extensions?Thank you for your response !

(sorry for my english 🙂 ) –

Hey Aigars,

Great article! Really informed me on what I need to look at when picking a job board theme.

I wanted to get some quick input from you if possible before I finalize my decision.

I need a job board theme which allows for employers to purchase plans to upload their job openings.I am not in need of any functionality to upload resumes to the site for review. The only need I would have for resumes if for the job seeker to be able to upload them when they apply for a job.I am also looking to setup different sections (IE internships and careers).

I believe this makes Jobera and Jobify the most viable options for my needs.

Are there any other distinguishing factors that could set either of these apart?

Thanks you!

Best job board themes for WordPress indeed. What about features, do they differ a lot?

Aigars,

This is a great discussion and review of job boards. So far, Jobify and Jobifier seem to be the most interesting for my purposes. However, I’m not sure if any of these plugins can provide what I am looking for.

I have several different TYPES of JobSeeker e.g.JobseekerA, JobseekerB, JobseekerC etc.

I could have approx 100 different people that would fall into each of these categories.

I also have several different types of recruiter e.g.RecruiterA, RecruiterB, RecruiterC etc. There would only be 1 person in each of these categories.

I would like RecruiterA to be able to post jobs that only jobseekers from category JobSeekerA can view.Similarly for RecruiterB – I would only like jobseekers from category JobSeekerB to see such jobs etc.I don’t want RecruiterA & type JobSeekerA seeing positions posted by RecruiterB etc..

Is it possible to setup such a scenario with any of these plugins or would I have to create separate websites for RecruiterA/JobSeekerA, RecruiterB/JobSeekerB etc ..

Thanks in advance.

Hi Aigars

I am looking for a job board theme that will have job seeker and recruiter login areas.

Also one where i can set up monthly “job” packages and limit the amount of jobs posted and cv search per month.

There is so many themes to chose from so im looking for some advice.

Thank you in advance.

jobroller has indeed integration too, do you think it’s better than jobifier?

Can you use the genesis framework underneath these themes.Or.

Can you install wordpress then genesis then one of these themes so that the wirdpress code can be updated easy without effecting the child theme.

Thanks –

HI

I need an all in one theme as im not so sure about having to use a lot of plugins.

What would be my best solution?

Is there any theme out there thats offers an option for a mixed product ie.X amount of jobs and X amount cv views for one price instead of having to buy a job pack and cv pack?

What are your views/opinions?

Kindest Regards

PS.Does any of the themes allow recriters to add a sub account?

Hello Aigars,

Thanks for this excellent review of themes. You are the the ‘real deal’ and seem to have genuine expertise about Job Board themes.

We are planning to purchase Job Engine but are wondering if we can integrate WPJob plugins with it.

We’d like to password protect resume/CV postings from viewing by the general public.

Thanks Aigars for the wonderful post. This is very educating.

Please I have a rather peculiar problem, that I’d need your advice on.(tho, I’ve seen some related comments already, they dont seem to address my issue very well).I’m setting up a careers page on my already existing wordpress website.

On the careers page, I would need:1.Job seekers that need a job at our firm to create a profile account with us, that they can view and update from time to time, when they have updated experience, job, and education information, even when we have NO job Listings.

2.To be able to add many custom fields on thier (jobseekers) signup form to collect indept information about them (jobseekers).

3.

Just me and any other admin from my company to be the ones posting job openings from backend(wordpress dashboard). No other employers’ “post a job” link on the frontend, as is currently seen in some of the demos mentioned above.

4.To be able to search for/sort Job seekers’ profiles from the backend based on their qualifications, age, experience, etc.So we can contact these specific persons incase of special interviews.

5.

The job seekers (after login) to have their own dashboard from where they can apply for any listed job, using their already setup resume / profiles, that’s already in our database.

I’d really appreciate your professional advice on this.Thank you.

PS: sorry for my bad English 🙂 –

Aigars, you seem to be the most truly knowledgeable person giving online advice about themes. So could I ask you if you know of a theme that would enable us to let our members each create their own ‘gallery’ of their work on our website?

From what I can see, there are themes that let you create a gallery of your work on your site, but not any that allow multiple users to individual galleries on one site.Maybe I’m not looking in the right direction for this?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to respond.I appreciate it.

Hi, I’m looking for a theme and pluig in which can be used for setup a casting site.

1) Jobs listing for productions companies producing movies, commercials etc.

2) The candidates should be paying a subscription fee or a fee to see the content of the job. Thanks in advance

Hi Aigars,

Again, thanks for this post.

At this point, I would like to integrate a board onto one of my (already existing) sites.

I am looking to do the following with a board – “find a stylist”:

– visitors able to search for a stylist in their area (worldwide)

– visitors able to leave a review for stylists listed on site

– stylists able to register/add their own profile to site (with customised fields – i.e.their training, years of experience, awards received, type of products/merchandise they use, pictures of their work, etc.)

– stylists have option of basic listing (free) or premium (sponsored) listing – with premium listing being on top and different paid packages i.e.weekly, monthly, annual rates

– social media integration – i.e.

twitter, facebook, instagramWith the above, I am thinking Jobify may be best for me; with Restrict Content and WP Job Manager added.Agree/ disagree?

Thanks in advance,

Hi Aigars, great review.

I’m looking for a theme that can:

– Create 2 different account types (employer, candidate).

– Post a job

– Online resume

– Search for candidates

– Search for jobs

– Manage account (employer and candidate separately)

– Apply for job using online resume

– Integration with payment providerJobify has the most reviews and support, but JobMonster, Freelance engine also look good.In fact, most of them do!

I’m happy to pay a developer to customise the theme and plugin.

Would you have any suggestions on the best theme?

Thanks!

Hello Aigars,

Thanks for the articulated review.

I’m trying to create a website that would allow job seekers build and host their online CV on my site with a unique url such as aigars.mysite.com or mysite.com/aigars

The website will run in successive stages and eventually turn to a job board.Do I have to use a theme at the initial stage? If so, could you please recommend one?

Aigars,

Cheers for doing such a thorough job on your reviews, and even more kudos on your follow through to answer every single question that has been thrown your way.

If I may, I too am looking into these themes for a client.

After many hours scrubbing these there are a few things I can’t seem to find. It’s pretty much a handyman board.

There will be several categories, ie..plumber, carpenter, etc etc.Couple of features are a must..

* Escrow for billing and payment.

* % of billed hours to company (ie.

Odesk)

* public facing feedback from employer would be great.

* communications between employee and employer controlled by usBonus would be the ability for employee to load video resume if possible.(sort of like a dating site..long walks on the beach, etc 🙂

We are pretty anal about the look and feel, and would much prefer to use our own created theme, but are open to one of the “pre-made” themes if plugins are available.

Thoughts?

Cheers

Rather than a membership plan set up, do any of these themes allow you to set up a transaction fee and eliminate the membership plan entirely?

I’m just testing the WP Job Manager Plug-in.Until now it’s fine for the project I’m working on.I like the Jobify Layout, but couldn’t find it yet.

Does it still exist?

Aigars:

Thanks for taking the time to put this together. What do you recommend for the technically challenged? I want to add a niche job board to my already existing wordpress site.Ideally, I would like to import jobs from various sources.

I have experimented with WP JobBoard, but when I try to add a feed from Indeed, it messes up the look of my site.I haven’t even figured out all of the other integrations.I want something that looks professional, but I don’t need alot of extras. My main goal is to import freelance job opportunities.

Hello,

I want to build an opportunity search engine for young Ethiopians, something that looks like Opportunity Desk website. My major is in Sociology so I don’t have any web designing experience. Thanks to my friend, on yesterday, I heard that I can design a websites using WordPress without having any prior experience in web designing. Thus, today I started googling about it and found out that there are themes like jobify that would look great for my cause.

However, I wanted to know whether or not this particular theme supports Twitter and Facebook posts just like the website I just mentioned earlier. And my another question is, would I get jobify if I purchase the premium version of WordPress for 199?

Dear Aigars,

I want to build a website where private tutors are listed there and students can go find them on their own.The private tutors have to be able to set (1) multiple subjects that he/she can teach, and (2) multiple locations that he/she can serve (I live in a small country). The students can then search through the location and the subject to find their private tutor and contact on their own.It would be good to include the badges features that can indicate whether the private tutor’s certificate is verified, and the students can leave some feedback to them.

May I know which of the job theme is best for me? Or which directory listing theme is best for me?

Thank you so much.

Hi Aigars,

Thanks for the very informative article and taking the time to reply to every question posted.I am looking to start an industry specific job board and have shortlisted jobify and jobifier.

I like the look of the jobifier theme slightly better as I think Jobilfy has slightly bigger fonts / image buttons etc.Which theme according to you will help me in the below :

Q1.can I change the font and size of font buttons in Jobify to my liking?

Q2.

Can I run ads of Google paid ads on search page / job listing page / home page / any other page

Q3.I want to ensure that all jobs posted should be approved by moderator (me) before going live on the site.Which will help me do that?

Q4.

What is the scalability of any these themes supposing the traffic is high? Supposing I want to move to another tech platform (custom built) in future, how will I be able to transfer the data (resumes / jobs)?

Q5.Robust search – allowing boolean search / multiple keyword search / search within search etc

Q6.If a theme is updated with new features later, will it automatically update for me? If a theme developer stops support for a theme, what happens?I am also looking to include below functionality :

Flow and features :

– Jobseeker can search jobs posted.

– He will then view the job

– Apply button / Apply through Linkedin

– It will create his own account / dashboard

– He can see a dashboard of which jobs he has applied for & when, any response from employer

– He can update his CV if required

– He can reapply for already applied job in case he does not get any response

– He can see the activity level of each employer, when they logged in, have they updated status

– He can receive daily / weekly mail digest on matching jobs

– Saved searchesEmployer will click button – Post Job

– This will ask him to create a profile :

– Name, Email Id, Phone No, Company Designation, Company description (250-1000 words)

– Then he can post a job

– Job has to be validated by me before becoming live on the site to ensure that it is being posted by a real company

– It will create his own account / dashboard

– He can see candidates who have applied, change status as below :

– select / reject / save for later / download

– He can receive daily / weekly mail digest on matching resumes

– Saved searchesPlan to monetise :

– Advertisements through Google

– Featured jobs which will stay on top of the listings

– After 10 resume views, charge flat fee for viewing remaining resumes.

– Featured employers listingPlease let me know which WP theme will be best for me? In what situation would you suggest I do not go for any WP theme and rather get it custom built (apart from cost)

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Ajay-

Hi Ajay,

Which theme did you choose, especially to manage:

Employer

– He can see candidates who have applied, change status as below :

– select / reject / save for later / download

– He can receive daily / weekly mail digest on matching resumes

– Saved searches

Hi Aigars,

could you tell me if WPJobus includes WooCommerce or a sort of payment system for my customers?

Hello Aigars,

This is an awesome article and great message thread! Congratulations for offering such thorough and detailed information and advice!

I have been mostly working with Joomla in the past, but lately have started exploring WordPress based options as well.

We are looking to develop an JobPortal for an international client. He needs the following key elements and features:– Sign-ups for employers AND job searchers

– flexible membership packages can be created by administrator

– ability to generate job main categories AND subcategories

– Multi-lingual capability for dynamic content built-in, and editable in back-end

– scalable (potentially large user base)Which theme could you see as probably most suitable for these requirements?

Again, this is a top-notch article&thread, and thank you for all your advice!

Regards, Chris

Great article!

I noticed some themes have single domain license restrictions and others don’t.

Would you happen to know which of the above themes have no domain restrictions? (i.e.

GLP license or other open source)

Thank you.-

Thank you! Great article. After reading this I am confused if I should go for Jobengine or Jobify.Which one do you think is better? Any key difference? One important thing I am looking for is to get the Indeed jobs integration.

I was thinking of using Jobroller but the interface look very bland.Any suggestion?

This is an exceptional, and timely summary.I am particularly interested in the freelance posting sites, and would appreciate your suggestions as to the one that might work best for our needs.

I am interested in building a site where freelancers in a very specific, niche industry can post their professional/personal background without giving their identity. This background would include the ability to share their work history, upload writing samples etc.

The free lancers would perhaps pay a fee for various level listings, but there would be a free listing available as well

Companies searching for these freelancers should have the ability to search for and review all of these profiles, and they would also have their own “membership” fee for access, giving the ability to confidentially contact the freelancers at will.

Companies might have the opportunity to run ads of some kind within the platform.

Should be mobile enabled.

I may have some more preferences, but this is all for now to get started with…many thanks again.

Sad to see that WPJOBUS has been pulled down just when I was about to hit the “Buy” button ! Will be thankful if anybody can direct me to some website where I can buy it.What a loss !

Aigars,

Thanks for the wonderful post and research.I’m trying to narrow down to a theme that let’s people upload videos upto 10 minutes as a sort of a resume (like Jobma.com) and also has a way for me to hyperlink the name of the applicant/freelancer to a different resume theme site altogether.Any ideas?

Thanks for a very helpful post – have tried a few of these, all are very good.I like wp job manager’s simplicity and extendability.

Pls I want to build a job board with wordpress that will serve two purposes at the same time:

1.

Employers can post jobs free and job seekers can upload their CV too.I intend to use JOBIFY for that.I think it serves the purpose of what I want.

2.On the same website too, I want to have a job aggregator that searches niche jobs from multiple Job Sites and Job Boards.

How can I put all the two above on the same website using wordpress themes. Is this possible?

Hello Aigars,

I have an existing recruitment website using a wordpress theme.Do you have any idea if using another theme will affect my website rank on search engines?

Thank you.-

Hi Aigars, thank you for this article! I’ve been looking around and find it hard to decide between Jobify or Jobera.

I do want job postings to be displayed in the list/table format as seen in Jobify demo, and much prefer Jobera’s visual appeal when it comes to displaying jobs (they have a big picture, and states only job title).Do you know if Jobify has a variety of options when it comes to displaying jobs?

Many thanks!

What theme do you think is best for a sales professional job board catering to recruiters and principals?

I like the idea of:

> being able to offer a service that allows recruiters to submit jobs to more than one job board at a time (mine and others); and

> aggregating jobs for candidates from multiple sources based on keywords and other criteria.

> Also, I need social media profile import from Linkedin

>and offering resume posting for candidates

> and offering resume search for recruiters

> monetization is absolutely necessary

> out of the box ready – I don’t want to have to spend $1K to get it working

Thanks so much.

This is an absolutely perfect post for people looking to create or build a job board easily and quickly.thanks for posting this useful post!

I’m looking for a theme or plugin that allows you to upload a lot of data i.e.

resumes very quickly perhaps in .csv format.Do any of these themes offer this technology?

Hi I am looking for a theme/plugin – where there is 2 sides.

1st Side – Someone/Company Posts the need for a translator at a specific time and location

2nd Side – a already registered pool of translators would show interest. The ‘Company selects from the list which translator they want

Translator confirms (does the translation on the date)

Company confirms the job was done and gives feedback or stars (out of 5)

This information cannot be deleted.

Behind the scene admin (myself) i can see who has used who’s service and for how many hours.

and the billing is done manually via post.(i know old fashioned but it need to be done like this)
